User's Guide

Welcome to LEMA Chat. This guide is for everyone who joins a chat — you talk to your team and to AI agents in the same conversation, and the useful parts get kept.

You don't need to know anything about agents, Brains, or administration to start. You send messages, you get answers, and the group's findings accrue as you go.

What you can do

• Get started — sign in, find your way around the workspace, and send your first message.
• Topics and conversations — where your conversations live, and programme weeks.
• Chats & messages — start chats, reply in threads, react, edit, pin, unsend (and undo), and see who's read what.
• Thinking & tool use — see an agent's reasoning and the tool calls and Brain lookups behind its answer.
• Mentions, agents & brains — bring an AI agent into the conversation and give it the right knowledge.
• The AI Facilitator & setup plans — the built-in agent that sets things up, and the one-approval plans it proposes.
• Groups — how membership and access work, in plain terms.
• Widgets — run a live poll, word cloud (click a word to vote for it), or ranking right inside the chat.
• Checklists — track what a conversation needs to cover, with Details, Answers and progress rings.
• Taking an interview — answer an AI interviewer by typing, speaking or phone, and add more later.
• Files & assets — share files and find them again later.
• Asset tags & links — tag assets with #, and share links that open exactly the right view.
• Whiteboards & docs — sketch together on a whiteboard or co-write a live document.
• Courses — work through your workspace's courses, lesson by lesson, with the discussion right there.

The one idea worth knowing

A chat in LEMA Chat is a funnel. Conversation is where the thinking happens, but it's meant to be ephemeral. The valuable output — a decision, a finding, a document — gets promoted into the Brain, a durable, searchable record the whole team can rely on. As a user you mostly just talk; the funnel does the rest.
